May 1st at PhD students from all areas of engineering and science can benefit from attending, although the course to some extent favors "hard science" disciplines.
The teaching takes place at the seminar room, Maersk-building, Campusvej 55, Odense M. Students also get experience using a standard conferencing system. This means that the course is not so suitable for new PhD students but better for those who already have done work worth submitting to a conference.
They submit their reviews via the conferencing system. It is recommended that this course is taken during the first period of a PhD study.
Very little of this course is timetabled. Third, the PhD students are required to practice both writing and reviewing in specially designed exercises.

Bridget likes to give you full feedback on your papers, which takes time. Including how to find relevant papers to cite. Please observe that attendance is absolutely mandatory throughout the two dates mentioned above.
The discussions will address general issues related to scientific writing. In addition, a reading list of relevant books and papers is given. Presentation Day -- students give their presentations. So although the first students get their feedback quickly, the last ones may be considerably delayed.
